Redeeming

Users can redeem hBTC back into wBTC through a secure and fully transparent on-chain flow. This process enables full exit from the protocol while preserving custody and compliance integrity.

Requirements

Before redeeming, users must:

• Hold hBTC in their wallet Redeeming is only possible if the user holds the synthetic BTC token previously minted through Syntetika.

• Be verified via zkKYC Redemption is permissioned and available only to wallets that have completed Galactica’s zkKYC process.

• Have gas available Sufficient gas is needed to process the redemption transaction on the supported chain.

How Redeeming Works

1. Navigate to the Redeem tab Verified users can access the Redemption Terminal from within the Syntetika interface.

2. Input amount of hBTC to redeem The amount of hBTC submitted will be converted 1:1 into wBTC, pending settlement.

3. Sign and confirm the transaction After submitting the redemption, the request is executed on-chain. A confirmation is issued and the corresponding wBTC is transferred back to the user's wallet.

The redeem process enables users to exit hBTC back to WBTC cleanly, with no slippage or conversion loss.
